| The parish of St Barnabas with St James the Greater is a small parish geographically of just over 30 streets and about 6000 people on the boundary of Walthamstow and Leyton. It is a multi-cultural parish with a large minority of Muslims living in the area. We regularly pray for our parish and its institutions, including:Edinburgh Primary School, Thomas Gamuel Primary School, Waltham Forest Children's Services, Waltham Forest Coroner's Court, Queens Road Cemetary, Queens Rd Mosque, Boundary Rd Synagogue, Lea Bridge Rd Mosque, Walthamstow SDA Church, Boundary Rd Evangelical Church, The Melchezidek Spiritual Baptist Church, and several care and nursing homes. Very roughly the parish is a square of streets in the middle of Hoe St, Queens Rd, Markhouse Rd and Lea Bridge Rd.Our parish boundaries can be found below: |
